UPDATE ON CANDELARIA!

I posted about Candelaria, a single mom to 5 that is wheelchair bound right before Mother's Day. I am happy to announce that Caroline Tiffin and myself have raised over $200.00 towards Candelaria's medical treatments. We still have a long way to go! If you would like to donate towards Candelaria's medical care, please make a donation to: mayanfamilies.org (please mark the donation "for Candelaria, single mother in wheelchair") or consider buying a Guatemalan item for sale on my blog or on FaceBook.  Many thanks!

Dear Friends,

I have posted this fundraiser on Facebook and on Mayan Families listserve but I would like to post here, also. I am having an Usborne book/efair fundraiser in honor of Gabby Lewis. Gabby is the daughter of Shane and Becky Lewis. Gabby was tragically killed in an auto accident last year. A library in her memory has been made in the village where Gabby was born, Tierra Linda, Guatemala. The library needs books. How the fundraiser works.... for every book you buy we receive free books for the library. Please, help me fill this library with books. Here is the link: www.myubam.com/bf52909.  Thank you!!!!
