I have just spent the last hour trying to upload new photos to the the blog, with no success! I wanted you to be able to see how the jars would be decorated for the upcoming holidays. Instead, I will list the mixes available for sale and give a description of each.

1.) Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix- this classic cookie is rich with loads of chocolate chips. Always a favorite! This mix is pictured below.

2.) M & M Cookie Mix- what child doesn't love biting into a freshly baked cookie that just happens to have their favorite candy in it? This cookie is always a crowd pleaser!

3.) Brownie Mix- this brownie can be whatever you want it to be! Made with rich, dark chocolate, chocolate chips and your choice of peanut butter or smooth white chocolate. Perfect for the chocolate and peanut butter lover!

4.) Sand Art Brownie Mix- This brownie has a twist to it. Similar to #3 this brownie comes made with a "lighter" chocolate and walnuts or pecans on request.

5.) Classic Hot Chocolate Mix- this is the perfect drink for those cold winter days when you want to curl up with a good book or you have just come in from skating or skiing. With mini chocolate chips and lots of cocoa this hot chocolate is the most decadent hot chocolate you will ever have! (marshmallows included)

6.) Sweet Tea Mix- sweet it is!!! Tangy and sweet with just the right blend of spices! Add a cinnamon stick or an orange peel and you have heaven in a cup!

Pricing: All jars are $10.00 each OR 3 jars for $25.00.

Shipping: For one jar: depends on area shipped to (I have plastic ball jars that will be lighter to ship with less chance of breaking)

For three jars: $10.95 ( 3 jars will fit in a medium sized "if it fits, it ships" box through the USPO)

For anyone living in MA or RI, I am willing to deliver or meet you somewhere to deliver.

I am working on and hope to have up by the end of the week, a PayPal button.
Feel free to leave comments or email me at thekreminator@aol.com

Thanks and have a great week!

Well, it has been a lot longer that a week! Irene and school delays have hindered my progress! I am posting a sample of the jars so that you may see what they look like. This is the chocolate chip cookie mix. Each jar will be decorated with fabric and ribbon of your choice: Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Birthday, Teacher's gift, ect. Within the next week I will have the types of mixes that will be available and the pricing. Then, ready for orders!

A little bit about Julia's Jars. I decided to name the jars "Julia's Jars of Hope" in honor of my daughter, Julia. I adopted Julia from Guatemala when she was three and a half. Julia was born in a small, remote village in Jalapa. Like so many other families in Guatemala, Julia's birth family lived in extreme poverty. After Julia's birth mother passed away, her extended birth family could not feed Julia. They placed Julia on the road and prayed someone would find her. Their prayers were answered. A kind woman found Julia and took her to the hospital. From the hospital Julia was taken to Forever Changed International in Guatemala City where she received loving care until the day I took her home. Julia has been such a Blessing to our family. I would like to give back to my daughter's birth country. With the purchase of Julia's Jars you will be giving hope to a hungry child, hope to a desperate mother, wondering how she will feed her family their next meal. The proceeds from the sales of Julia's Jars will go to three non-profit organizations. The first will be Forever Changed International (FCI), where Julia lived for 18 months. FCI takes in abandoned children in need of a safe loving, place to stay. The special mothers there give excellent care to these children. Many children stay there for years. The second non profit will be Finding Freedom Through Friendship (FFF). FFF is very dear to me as they help struggling, single mothers. FFF has built 7 houses for single women with children in the 20 months that they have been in existence. FFF also helps these women to become self sufficient by helping then find sustainable employment. The third non profit will be Mayan Families (MF). MF is a wonderful organization working in the highlands of Guatemala. MF has school sponsorships, family aid, preschools, and many more programs. The program that Julia's Jars proceeds will go to is the Christmas Tamale Basket. Each year MF makes wonderful baskets. Each basket is $35.00 and includes all the fixings for a traditional Christmas. This year more than ever these baskets will be needed. I hope that you enjoy the jars. My daughters and I make the jars here, in my kitchen.
